Taking part in our projects is free and ALWAYS WILL BE!
Unlike other organisations, we do not charge any fees, because we do believe in inclusive education, one of the EU's greatest values to us.
THE ORIGINS:
The Intercultural Association "I Confini del Vento" (literally "The Boundaries of the Wind") is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation (in Italian: ONLUS) founded on 11th October 2007 in Acquaviva delle Fonti, a small village in the hinterland of Bari, Italy, by women belonging to different ethnic groups, yet sharing a common ideal, that is, the respect of human dignity regardless of race, language, religion and economic circumstances.
MISSION:
"I Confini del Vento" is committed to promote the integration of migrants into the local Italian community through a range of support services.
VISION:
The peaceful integration of different populations in order to build a better world.
HOW WE WORK:
Our work stands out for the efficiency, precision and zeal with which we are pursuing the ambitious goal of migrants' social integration, something we consider key in a century where cultural encounters and exchanges have become nearly unavoidable.
Our work is flexible as it continuously adapts to, and mirrors the needs of, our community, which would not be possible without a number of professional members and partners putting their efforts, knowledge and expertise to our service on a daily basis.
Finally, "I Confini del Vento" is free from any political interference, even though it has to regularly liaise with the concerned authorities in order to implement social and immigration policies by means of its own projects.
